Walter Nelson has applied advanced technology to software products for over 25 years. As Everdream CTO, Dr. Nelson oversees the selection of research projects and integrates technology-based activities into the corporate strategy. He is responsible for the companys technology vision and for describing the companys ability to meet customers current and future needs.At Adobe Systems, Dr. Nelson produced a prototype application framework for Rich Internet Applications. In his prior role as vice president engineering at WorldChain, Dr. Nelson designed, built and delivered a software-as-a-service supply chain product for Fortune 1000 companies. As EVP of Technology for Chemdex/Ventro, Dr. Nelson defined the business process integration strategy for this hosted B2B business. He also successfully implemented new procurement, data warehouse and business reporting applications along with development for ChemdexVentros five vertical businesses in life sciences, health care, spend management, food distribution, and industrial supply. As SVP at Fair Isaac, Dr. Nelson led corporate research and software development activities for decision engines and data analysis tools. Earlier, Dr. Nelson managed object-oriented software development at General Magic and Sterling Software. Nelson holds a B.A. from The University at Buffalo, and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in International Relations and Public Administration from The Johns Hopkins University. |
