Walter Mapham was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer in December 2006. Previously, he served as our Director of Strategic Services since May 2000 and was responsible for developing and implementing solutions that address our clients’ logistics needs, challenges and issues. He joined UTi Worldwide in 1993 as our Senior Vice President of Information Technology, a post that he held until May 2000. Prior to 1993, Walter served as Managing Director of Burlington Data Systems which was responsible for BAX Global’s Information Systems in Europe. Previously, he was Managing Director of the consulting division of a major auditing firm in Johannesburg, Fisher, Hoffman and Stride, and also worked in the Marketing Department of Industrial Development Corporation in South Africa. Walter received his MSc Biometry degree from the University of Natal and his MBA from the University of Cape Town. |
