Walter Hittleman, PhD., is Professor of Medicine and Chief of Cellular Oncology in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Hittelman graduated from UC Berkeley with a PhD in biophysics, M.S. in nuclear engineering, and a B.S in mechanical engineering. He did his post doctorate training in cell biology at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Professor Hittleman serves on numerous national and international journal review committees including Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research, Science, Radiation Oncology, Biochemical Pharmacology, International Journal of Radiation Biology, Journal of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry, Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology, American Journal of Pathology, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Research, Mutation Research, Experimental Cell Research, Somatic Cell Genetics, Genetics and the New England Journal of Medicine. Professor Hittleman also serves on the NIH Center for Scientific Review and participates in Grant Review for the Dutch Cancer Society. |
