Director, Scientific Advisory Board Member and Co-Founder. Dr. Gilbert is a Managing Director of BioVentures Investors. Previously the Carl M. Loeb University Professor at Harvard University, Dr. Gilbert was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his contributions to the development of DNA sequencing methodology. He was a founder, Chairman and CEO of Biogen, Inc., and co-founder of Myriad Genetics, Inc., where he is currently Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has held professorships at Harvard University in the department of Physics, Biophysics, Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Molecular and Cellular Biology. He was elected Member of the National Academy of Science in 1976.
