Walter O. LeCroy Jr. who founded the Company in 1964 as LeCroy Research Systems has served as Honorary Chairman of the Board since February 1999. Mr. LeCroy previously served as the Chairman of the Board from the Company’s inception and as CEO until 1985. He was instrumental in the initial development of the Company’s core WaveShape Analysis technology and oversaw the establishment of an instrument design and production facility in Geneva Switzerland in 1972 as well as sales and service operations throughout the United States Europe Japan and numerous other countries. Mr. LeCroy developed technology to capture measure and analyze sophisticated electronic signals in a stringent scientific environment and in 1985 began transferring this technology to a popular line of general-purpose instruments. Mr. LeCroy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics from Columbia University. |
