Walter received his associate of arts degree from Broward Community College with highest honors; in 1973 he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University with a major in Accounting. He is a member of both the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. PRACTICE EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZATIONS Walter has been a director with CBIZ Accounting, Tax Advisory Services since 1981. In his capacity as a tax principal, he puts specialized emphasis on tax planning and compliance, estate, trust and wealth preservation, and consulting for closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. He also serves as the advisory practice leader of CBIZ ATA Florida and on the executive committee of CBIZ, Inc. Walter has served or is currently serving in numerous fiduciary capacities including trustee in approximately 20 trusts, personal representative in 10 estates, guardian, special master and curator. He has lectured on technology and international tax topics. PERSONAL DATA Walter is on the Advisory Board of Stonegate Bank, Boca Raton Community Hospital and Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Born in Albany, New York, Walter has been a resident of South Florida since 1960. He resides in Parkland with his wife and has two children. |
