As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner, his attention to detail as well as a penchant for the big picture has earned him distinction on the Financial Planning Association's local chapter board as well as membership of the Des Moines Estate Planners group. Walt has been spotlighted several times in the Des Moines Register including their Money Makeover series of articles and he has participated in community outreach efforts such as complimentary KCCI phone consultations during Financial Planning Week. A graduate of Duke University, Walt is a Florida native and former officer in the U.S. Navy. He also has experience working in tax, pension administration, and retirement plan marketing.
