Wally Winkel has 23 years of business experience. 14 plus years are in the electronic security, fire alarm & life safety, and building management systems industry, and 9 years in the pharmaceutical, household goods and sporting goods industries. He is currently Chief Financial Officer for Convergint Technologies. Prior to joining Convergint Technologies, he was the Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, General Counsel and Treasurer of Siemens Building Technologies. During the span of his career, Wally has held positions in tax, insurance, internal audit with such major corporations as Wilson Sporting Goods, Maytag, G.D. Searle and spent 2 years in public accounting with BDO Seidman, LLP. Wally holds a bachelor's of science degree in accounting from Michigan State University, a JD from the DePaul College of Law, and an LLM in Taxation from Chicago Kent College of Law in Chicago, IL. Active in professional and civic organizations, Wally is a member of the American and Chicago Bar Associations, Financial Executive Institute, a practicing member of the Illinois Bar, a licensed CPA, and is actively involved as a board member of his local church. |
