Vonnie L. Lundstrom is a Managing Director in Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Houston office where she is a member of the firm’s Partner Practice Group. Vonnie has over 16 years of commercial litigation and transactional experience and has worked for large national law firms as well as in-house with publicly-traded and privately-held corporations. Her association with managing and hiring partners of major law firms as well as senior managers and board members of large global companies gives her unique insight regarding the legal hiring needs of both law firm and corporate clients and the qualities requisite of a candidate in a successful lateral placement. She has successfully placed public company General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel and has represented partner, counsel and associate-level candidates in obtaining offers from top law firms.
Vonnie was a litigator with Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps in its San Diego and San Francisco offices and Kutak Rock in Omaha, Nebraska. She worked in-house as an attorney seconded to Omaha Indemnity Company, a Mutual of Omaha company, and as an expatriate legal consultant to CalEnergy International in its Jakarta, Indonesia headquarters. In Jakarta, Vonnie consulted on legal issues concerning the development, construction and operation of geothermal and hydroelectric power plants throughout Southeast Asia.
Vonnie served on the staff of the Hon. Calvin Botley of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas
Her bar memberships include the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of California and the Nebraska State Bar Association.
Vonnie graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with degrees in legal studies and political science. She earned her JD at Emory University School of Law and has an LL.M. in taxation from the University of Houston.
In addition to her legal recruiting career, Vonnie is a professional opera singer. She is married to Bruce D. Lundstrom, Senior VP and General Counsel of Tidewater Inc. |
