Volker Teigelkötter is a partner in the McDermott Will & Emery Rechtsanwälte LLP based in the Firm's Düsseldorf office. He heads the Firm's German Labor and Employment Group, where his practice covers the entire spectrum of labor and employment law. His special focus is on restructuring and reorganizations, redundancy programs, plant closures and relocations, outsourcing, negotiations with employee's representations on shop agreements and social plans, and other collective labor law issues. He regularly advises with regard to transaction related labor law and has vast experience in post-merger integration. In addition, Volker also advises on service agreements for board members, managing directors and senior executives, including pension schemes as well as incentive and bonus plans.
Volker advises inter alia a European leading supplier of construction and raw materials on the post-merger integration following the acquisition of two large German competitors including the negotiations with trade unions on collective bargaining agreements for the structure of employees representation within the entire group, negotiations with the group works council on a mass redundancy program, codetermination issues and the establishment of a European works council.
Volker is admitted to the German Bar and a licensed labor law specialist (Fachanwalt für Arbeitsrecht). Volker is a member of the Association of Licensed Specialists for Labor law.
