Ing. Vladimir Schmalz is a graduate from the University of Economics, Faculty of International Relations (foreign trade economy) where he took his degree in 1994. He has been to foreign stays and short-term attachments to the Universität Hannover (Germany), the Universität Münster (Germany), Hochschule St. Gallen (Switzerland), ESCP Paris (France) and the International Institute for Politics and Economics in Hamburg (Germany).
From 1991 he was the general director, later chairman of the board of directors and a shareholder of SAWBAC company, which was engaged in facility management in the Czech and Slovak Republic.
Between 2004 and 2005 he represented the interests of CEZ in the supervisory board of Severoceska energetika a.s. and from 2005 to 2006 also in the supervisory board of Skoda Praha a.s.. At present he is a member of the supervisory board of the distribution company EAD Stolichno in Bulgaria and since 2006 he has been CEO of ZAO TransEnergo in the Russian Federation. Further, he represents the Czech Republic in the BAC SEE (Business Advisory Council for South Eastern Europe), an advisory board for the European Commission and the Stability Pact. |
