Dr. Vladimir Potapov joined CTRL Systems, Inc.'s Research and Development Lab in September 2000. Born in Kaliningrad, Russia, Dr. Potapov graduated from the Riga's Aviation University (Republic of Latvia). He successfully completed the Highest State Courses at Committee for Inventions and Discoveries at the Council of Ministers USSR, and received the Certificate of Expert in Patent Law. In 1981 Vladimir completed and defended his thesis in the field of technical diagnostics of aircraft electrical equipment and earned his Ph.D. diploma. Along with many other accomplishments, Dr. Potapov has written 110 scientific and methodological works, which includes 71 patents for inventions and a monograph scientific book on diagnostics of aeronautical electrical machines. These works have opened new directions and opportunities for the diagnosis and the monitoring of electrical machines and systems.
