Vladimir Lasocki is a Director focused on European buyout opportunities in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors. He is based in London.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2000, Mr. Lasocki was an Associate with Deutsche Bank's principal investments group focusing on communications and networking technology investments. At Deutsche Bank, Mr. Lasocki was involved in the bank's investments in Airspan (AIRN), Cocom (acquired by Cisco System), Orchestream (LSE:OCH), Transmeta (TMTA) and Xacct (acquired by Amdocs) among others. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Lasocki was with the corporate finance group of Paribas in Paris, London and Prague.
Mr. Lasocki has a degree in business administration with a major in finance earned at EM Lyon and the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Solvay Business School) and an M.A. in European economic studies from the College of Europe in Bruges. A French national, Mr. Lasocki also speaks English and Czech.
Mr. Lasocki is a member of the Board of Directors of Financière CAMECA SAS, Solsoft SA, Transics International NV and Wall Street Institute Education, SàRL, and he has represented Carlyle on the Boards of Egencia SA (acquired by Expedia), Orthogon Systems Ltd. (acquired by Motorola) and PacketLight Networks Ltd. |
