Professional Education Dr. Hugec graduated cum laude with a Medical Degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Safarik University Kosice in Czeckoslavakia. He completed two residencies in Internal Medicine - the first in Safarik Univeristy Hospital Kosice, and the second at New York Medical College, New York City, NY. He also completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at New York Medical College. Research Dr. Hugec received the ASCO/AACR Workshop award in 2005 with Methods in Clinical Cancer Research, and is first author on several oncology research papers. Certifications Dr. Hugec holds board certification in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. Personal Dr. Hugec is married and has two school-age children. His wife, Dr. Silvia Hugec, is an Internal Medicine physician who is currently practicing in the Allina Woodbury Clinic. In his leisure time, Dr. Hugec enjoys outdoor activities including tennis, cycling and ice-hockey.Primary Location:Maplewood |
