Vishwanath is a physician who, after having practiced medicine in rural India, decided to pursue a career in health and medical informatics. He joined the Decision Systems Group at the Brigham and Women's hospital for a post-doctoral fellowship, and subsequently obtained a master's degree in medical informatics from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology Vishwanath has been involved in a number of informatics projects in association with faculty at the AI division of MIT's Laboratory of Computer Science, and has consulting experience from a number of large healthcare corporations. |
