Mr. Ward is an Associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Albuquerque office where he is a member of the firm’s Corporate & Business and Government Relations groups. From 2005 until joining Brownstein in 2007, Mr. Ward served as the deputy chief counsel to New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson. As a prominent lawyer in the administration, Mr. Ward advised the governor, chief of staff, senior policy advisors and cabinet secretaries on legislative and policy initiatives, including matters related to economic development, tax, insurance, land use and development, public finance, energy and the environment, and public safety. He drafted and lobbied legislation before the New Mexico Legislature on behalf of Governor Richardson and testified before legislative committees. Prior to his appointment in the Richardson Administration, Mr. Ward was an associate at Rodey, Dickason, Sloan, Akin & Robb in Albuquerque. He previously served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps. |
