Vincent C. van Panhuys is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Washington, D.C. office. He is a member of the Firm's Antitrust and Competition Practice group. His practice involves defending mergers and acquisitions before United States and foreign competition authorities, antitrust counseling, antitrust litigation and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Vincent was a clerk at the Federal Trade Commission where he assisted with antitrust investigations and litigation. He also worked as a Legal Fellow in Congress where he researched, drafted and negotiated legislation for the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance and Government Sponsored enterprises.
Vincent was a teacher and school administrator before entering the legal profession. He was a Lecturer in Economics at the HES Amsterdam School of Business. He also was the Dean of Community Life at The American School in Switzerland and a teacher at the Latin School of Chicago.
Vincent earned his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006, where he was a Fellow in the Institute for International Economic Law.
Vincent is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and New York.
