Vincent A. Maffeo is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of ITT Corporation, and has global responsibility for all legal matters for the company. Maffeo also serves on the company’s Strategic Council.
Maffeo joined ITT in July 1977, and has held key Legal positions in the Company’s Telecommunications, Defense and Automotive businesses, and at the European Headquarters of ITT Europe, prior to becoming General Counsel in 1995.
Before joining ITT, Maffeo was an Associate with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett based in New York City.
Since 1997 he has served on the Board of Directors of The Fund for Modern Courts. He is also serving on the Board of Directors of Fundación Chile and the Pro Bono Partnership. In 2004, he became a Trustee of Sacred Heart University in Conn., and serves on the Advisory Board of the Center on Lawyers and the Professional Services Industry at Harvard Law School.
Maffeo graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 1974, he graduated from Harvard Law School and is a member of the Bars of New York, California, Virginia and the District of Columbia, Michigan and the U.S. Supreme Court. |
