As a founding member of Texas Capital Bank, Vince Ackerson has been integral to the Bank’s growth and success. Since 1998, he has steadily increased his level of responsibility because of his smart, focused and knowledgeable approach to serving customers’ banking needs. In January 2007, he was named chief lending officer for the Bank’s Dallas region in addition to serving as executive vice president.
In his current position, Ackerson also is responsible for the Bank’s Corporate Banking, Private Client, Real Estate and Energy lending divisions. Previously, he was executive vice president and division manager for Corporate Banking.
Ackerson joined the Bank from Resource Bank Dallas, where he was an organizer, shareholder and director. Before that, he was president of Mack Financial Group, Inc., managing the company’s operations. While there, he successfully negotiated the purchase of the commercial finance division of a Fortune 500 company, provided financial consulting to a Fortune 100 company and headed the merger and acquisition work for a large NASDAQ-listed company.
He was part of the Comerica Bank-Texas organization following its purchase of NorthPark National Bank. At Comerica, he was senior vice president and manager of commercial banking. He was senior vice president at NorthPark National as well and managed the commercial lending division.
When Bank of Texas and Kazakhstan, Almaty forged a successful banking venture in the former Soviet Union, Ackerson served as founder, shareholder and director for this effort. He started his career at First National Bank of Dallas.
Ackerson earned his master’s of business administration and bachelor’s degrees from Louisiana State University.
