Vin Caraher is president and chief executive officer of Thomson Scientific, a strategic business unit of The Thomson Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Thomson Scientific strategy globally. Appointed to the position in May 2004, Mr. Caraher has over 17 years of experience with Thomson. Mr. Caraher serves on the company’s Management Committee.
Prior to this assignment, Mr. Caraher held various senior management positions including: executive vice president, Pharma Markets; executive vice president, Academic and Government Markets and senior vice president, Worldwide Sales and Marketing.
Previously, Mr. Caraher worked at WG&L as marketing director for the banking and business product lines. Mr. Caraher began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank, holding various jobs in financial analysis and marketing.
Mr. Caraher is a graduate of Boston College and received his MBA at Adelphi University. |
