Vikram Kumar is Professor of Economics at Davidson College. He received his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and M.A. from the Delhi School of Economics. He has also taught at Vanderbilt University, and served at the World Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and as Visiting International Economist at the Capital Markets Group, Wachovia Corporation (then First Union Corporation) while on leave from Davidson.
Dr. Kumar's interests include international trade and finance, macroeconomic theory and history of economic thought. His recent research covers aspects of the behavior of the forward premium, purchasing power parity, effects of exchange rate volatility on international trade, and early warning signals of currency crises. |
