Ms. Geis joined MetaMorphix®, Inc. in 2004 as its Vice President of Human Resources. She has over 15 years of experience in human capital consulting working with not-for profit organizations and start-up companies to Fortune 500 corporations in a wide variety of industries.
Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Geis joined CBIZ Accounting, Tax & Advisory Services in 2001 as its Leader and Director of the Human Capital Advisory Services practice for the Mid-Atlantic region. From 2000 to 2001, she served as a National Accounts and Business Development Consultant with the human capital management firm Knowledge Workers, Inc.; and from 1997 to 1999, she was a Human Resources Executive with Weinberg Associates, an international scientific consulting firm. She was the Director of Human Resources for biosys, Inc. from 1995 to 1997 where she created a best practices comprehensive human resource program including such areas as enhanced recruitment efforts and innovative benefit and executive compensation programs.
Ms. Geis spent several years in the executive recruitment field with boutique retainer-based firms and has conducted searches in the life sciences and agribusiness industries as well as serving the high tech and communications sectors. In additional to her professional responsibilities, she has been an invited speaker on Recruitment & Retention, Harassment Prevention, Total Compensation, FLSA, and HIPAA. Ms. Geis is a cum laude graduate of Mary Washington College and a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). |
