Victor Lawrence was appointed to the Board on September 20 2007. Dr Lawrence is an industry leader with extensive international experience in Research and Development in digital communications. He is the Charles W Batchelor Cair Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Associate Dean for Special Programmes at Stevens Institute of Technology. He is also the founding director of the Intelligent Networked Systems Center iNetS. Dr Lawrence is a leading international proponent of the need to globalise Research and Development and is championing the effort to bring fibre optic connectivity to Africa. He received his undergraduate masters and doctorate degrees from the University of London in the United Kingdom and previously taught at various universities in the USA. |
