Victor L. Ivry serves as Director of Retail Services for Mohr Partners. Based in Walnut Creek, California, Victor is responsible for developing strategic real estate plans for retailers nationwide. Additionally, Victor assists retailers in developing growth strategies that will fulfill their expansion needs. Such strategies may include a growth feasibility study, financial review, marketing performance, and overall operational overview.Commencing with a 5 year stint at The Taubman Company, a premier shopping center developer, Victor has spent the last 20 years involved in retail real estate covering the entire Western United States. Following his career with Taubman, he joined Jarvis and Associates, a firm that specialized in the redevelopment of retail shopping centers. As a principal in the firm, Victor was responsible for the leasing, marketing, design, and construction of all Jarvis projects. In 1988, he left Jarvis to start his own firm, Ivry Retail Group (IRG). IRG was a retail consulting firm that facilitated the growth strategies of small to mid-size retail companies. Over the last 10 years, Victor was the CEO of Formal Ventures, a 35 store specialty retail chain.Victor’s clients over the past twenty years in real estate include The Limited, The Gap, McDonald’s, Gottschalk’s, Musicland, Taco Bell, Hallmark Cards, B. Dalton, Mrs. Fields Cookies, US Bank, Westamerica Bank, President Tuxedo, Site for Sore Eyes, Expressly Portraits, Game Gallery, Loard’s Ice Cream, Sweet Dreams, Red Wagon, Oakville Grocery, 5 and Diner, the Curtain Exchange, and Graphics Etc. In addition to his real estate experience, Victor’s understanding of both the development and operations of a retail business has proved to be valuable to his clients in their strategic growth planning. Victor received a degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston. As an undergraduate, he captained the University of Houston Swim Team to their highest NCAA finish. During his undergraduate studies, Victor represented Canada in several international events including the World University Games and the Maccabiah Games. In addition, he received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Houston. Victor is married with three daughters, is currently in his 16th year as a volunteer swim coach at a local high school, and is actively involved in several other community based groups. |
