Victor H. Frankel, Medical Director, is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NY Hospital for Joint Diseases. As Medical Director, Dr. Frankel is the prime contact to the medical community for the company to coordinate and direct all continuing research on the new Juvent technology for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. Currently a professor of orthopaedic surgery at NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Frankel received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD. in orthopaedic and reconstructive surgery from the University of Upsala, Sweden. An international authority on bone disease and surgery with five books translated into several languages, Dr. Frankel has held senior medical positions as chairman and professor of orthopaedic surgery and director of the Biomechanics Laboratory at University of Washington (Seattle); and President Emeritus of NY Hospital for Joint Diseases. In recognition of his meritorious achievements and contributions to science, King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden awarded Dr. Frankel the title of Knight Commander of the Royal Order of the North Star. |
