Mr. Johnson brings more than 18 years of experience leading high-tech startups, defining and driving corporate strategy and positioning the companies for success. Prior to SemiSouth, Mr. Johnson was President and CEO of Nascentric, a venture-backed company focused on high-speed circuit simulation. He was also President and CEO of Silicon Metrics Corporation, the industry leader in characterization and modeling of foundation IP used in IC design. He successfully oversaw Silicon Metrics's acquisition by Magma Design Automation (Nasdaq: LAVA) in October 2003 and continued after that to serve as the General Manager of Magma's Silicon Correlation Division. Under his direction, the division expanded its customer base by 20% and achieved 150% of sales targets. He successfully established and managed relationships with companies around the world such Intel, IBM, ARM, TSMC, UMC, Infineon, ST Microelectronics and others.Mr. Johnson has held other executive level positions at Omniview Design Automation and Xynetix. He has held a variety of management and advisory roles at other electronics and electronic design companies such as General Dynamics, Intergraph, Spatial Information Solutions and Pixel Engines and was a co-founder of Cellular Sessions. He received his BS and BA degrees from Mississippi State University and his MS from the Bagley School of Engineering, also at MSU. |
