Veronica Silva-Minin is an associate on the Employee Benefits team of the HR Law Practice Group. She advises privately and publicly held corporations and tax-exempt entities focusing on design, administration and amendment of defined contribution, defined benefit, welfare and nonqualified employee benefit plans. She counsels clients regarding fiduciary issues under ERISA, resolving operational compliance issues under the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA (including the procedures established under the Employee Plans Compliance Resolutions System (EPCRS)), filing applications for favorable determination letters on tax qualifications and other IRS filings related to benefit plans, HIPAA privacy compliance issues and employee benefit issues involved in corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and reorganizations. Her experience includes negotiating, drafting and amending nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements and other executive compensation and benefits-related agreements, including non-compete, non-solicitation and severance agreements.
In General. Veronica earned J.D. and LL.M degrees from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She is also a graduate of National University of Tucumán Law School in Tucumán, Argentina. |
