Experience
Mr. Weikel represents clients in the real estate industry in connection with development, leasing and finance. A primary focus of his practice is representing mortgage lenders in "credit tenant" loan transactions whereby "structured" financing is provided to landlords of single-tenant properties net leased to public companies whose debt is rated investment grade by an agency such as S&P, Fitch or Moody's. In this arena, Mr. Weikel also has represented landlords in negotiating leases with national "credit tenants" such as Lowe's, Target and Home Depot. In addition to his work in real estate, Mr. Weikel works in the commercial finance area on factoring and asset-based lending transactions.
