Vanessa K. Blackmore is a Co-Managing Partner of Sullivan & Cromwell's London office. She joined S&C as a partner in July 2006. Ms. Blackmore was previously a partner at one of the UK's leading law firms (1999-2006). Ms. Blackmore is qualified to practice English law and has a broad-based corporate finance practice. She advises on UK and EU securities law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and corporate governance. Ms. Blackmore has advised and represented companies, investment banks and other financial institutions in the UK, elsewhere in Europe, the Middle East, Russia and the U.S. She has considerable experience in international equity, equity-linked and debt offerings and London listing work, with particular expertise in cross border transactions. Ms. Blackmore was recently recognized as one the "50 Most Influential Women in the Law" by Legal Business magazine and as a leading lawyer for capital markets in consecutive recent editions of Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers for Business, Chambers Europe: Europe's Leading Lawyers for Business, and Chambers UK: A Client's Guide to the UK Legal Profession, among other notable guides to the legal profession. |
