Dr. Coffman served in various executive capacities at Lockheed Martin Corp. before becoming chairman of the board and chief executive officer in 1998. He retired as chief executive officer in 2004 and as chairman of the board in 2005. Dr. Coffman is on the boards of the following public companies in addition to 3M: Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. and Deere & Company. He also is affiliated with certain nonprofit organizations, including director of the Atlantic Council of the United States. |
