D. Van Skilling is the retired chairman and chief executive officer of Experian Information Solutions, Inc. (formerly known as TRW Information Systems & Services), a leading provider of consumer and business credit and direct marketing services based in Orange County, California. A 26-year veteran with TRW Inc., Skilling was named to his former position in September 1996, when Experian became a privately held company.
Prior to the spinoff, Skilling was executive vice president of TRW Inc., and general manager of TRW Information Systems & Services. He was appointed to lead TRW's information businesses in September 1989.
Skilling earned a Master of Business Administration in international business from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Science degree in both chemistry and zoology from Colorado College, where he now serves as chairman of the board of trustees.
His other activities include membership on the board of directors of Lamson & Sessions; where he chairs the compensation, nomination and governance committees; and McData, where he is a member of the audit and governance committees. Skilling is also on the board of the American Business Bank, where he chairs the compensation committee and is a member of that company?s audit committee. Skilling was formerly a member of the California Business Roundtable, where he chaired the education task force. |
