Valerie counsels employers regarding a wide variety of employment and labor law issues. Valerie is also involved in defending employers against employment discrimination lawsuits in state and federal court. Prior to joining Faegre& Benson, Valerie was a Labor Relations Representative at the State of Minnesota Department of Employee Relations. Valerie represented the State of Minnesota as an employer in grievance arbitrations and collective bargaining negotiations. Valerie also advised and provided training to state agencies on various labor and employment law issues including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).
