V. P. Pham joined the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in November 2003. He has been assigned the important task of implementing state-of-the-art technologies and optimizing the institution's investment administration processes. The Project Management Office, under his leadership, will be responsible for the overall coordination of all related projects, in keeping with the institution's ongoing commitment to efficiency and profitability.
Background
Mr. Pham has over 20 years of experience in back-office banking operations, real estate management, purchasing and information technology.
At the beginning of his career, he held several IT management positions with Montreal Trust, Samson Bélair/Deloitte & Touche and Guardian Trust. He was subsequently named Vice-President of Consulting Services at Systematix.
Following this, he spent 12 years as a senior executive at the Laurentian Bank of Canada, eventually being named the Bank's Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer, a position he held until joining the Caisse.
Mr. Pham has a Master in Business Administration with a major in Finance from HEC Montréal and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a major in Information Systems from the Université de Sherbrooke and the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Connections
Mr. Pham has sat on the Interac Association Board of Directors and the Compaq Canada Advisory Board. He is a past president of the Montréal chapter of the Fédération de l'informatique du Québec and a former governor of the Montréal chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. |
