Ms. Ahmad's practice focuses primarily on general corporate and securities matters, with an emphasis on:
Mergers and acquisitions, including asset purchases and stock purchases
Financing transactions, including private and public offerings of equity and debt securities and venture capital financings
Public company securities compliance, including SEC reporting and public disclosure issues
Corporate formation matters and corporate governance issues
Prior to joining Dykema, Ms. Ahmad worked as a corporate and securities associate in the Philadelphia and Boston offices of Dechert LLP, where she represented strategic buyers in acquisitions in the manufacturing, public utilities and healthcare industries; represented a closed-end equity fund in private placement participations in the biotechnology sector; advised several public companies on their SEC periodic reporting and public disclosure; and worked on securities offerings and 144A high-yield offerings.
Ms. Ahmad has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Michigan Law School, where she taught a course on public disclosure by issuers, including disclosure as required by Regulation FD and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
