Current responsibility
Uwe is a consulting actuary with the German office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2005. Uwe's consulting assignments include product development, compliance, and market analysis, as well as risk management and Solvency II.
Experience
Uwe has more than 17 years experience in the life insurance business. He focused on product development, marketing, and financial management, carrying out a number of senior management roles.
Prior to joining Milliman, Uwe worked for the U.K. life insurance company Standard Life. He established the product development and product management functions in Standard Life's branch for Germany and Austria and headed the teams during their very successful years 2001 to 2005.
Before this he worked for leading Swiss-German life insurer DBV-Winterthur, where he was responsible for various product development and implementation projects and the development of the first embedded value model for DBV's annuities and pensions business.
Uwe began his profession at Allianz Lebensversicherung in Stuttgart.
He is fluent in English and German.
