Umesh K. Verma, President and CEO of Blue Lance, is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years experience in the IT industry. Since forming Blue Lance in 1985, Mr. Verma has built the company into a leading developer of IT security solutions used by Fortune 500 companies, banks, health care organizations and the Federal Government, to satisfy regulatory compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, FFIEC, GLBA, HIPAA, and FISMA. Alongside his success with Blue Lance, Mr. Verma has grown C-TREC into one of the largest privately held IT Education companies in Houston, specializing in IT Security, Disaster Recovery, Wireless, Microsoft, Novell, Cisco, HP (ASE), CompTIA, Citrix and Linux Technical certifications. Mr. Verma believes in community development and serves on several local and national boards. Serving as chair of The Greater Houston Partnership’s Technology Infrastructure Committee, Mr. Verma has worked closely with Mayor White’s office and city officials and provided thought leadership around Houston’s Wi-Fi Initiative.
