Uma has extensive product development and technical leadership/management experience, gained from a 14-year technology career in the embedded, networking, and storage solutions space. Before founding RealNet Solutions, Uma served at Maxtor Corporation, where she oversaw the development efforts for the company’s Linux and FreeBSD based network attached storage products. Prior to Maxtor, she played a key product development and leadership role in embedded systems (pSOS+, pSOSim, MatrixX) and networking at Wind River. As a lead member of ISI’s professional engineering services group (now Wind River), her responsibilities included managing and implementing design-wins for several of Wind River’s key accounts, Uma holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, India, and is a member of the IEEE 802.11 working group as well as the IEEE WIE (Women in Engineering) affinity group. |
