Ulrike Till is an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation Department of the London office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP.
Dr. Till's practice encompasses all areas of intellectual property litigation. Utilising her diverse backgrounds in science, management and law, she focuses on patent litigation across a wide area of technologies. She has experience of applications and full trials in the UK Patents County Court and the High Court. She also has experience of coordinating proceedings with other jurisdictions in multi-national patent disputes. Dr. Till has acted for clients in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, and in the engineering, software and telecoms fields. She has also spent time on a secondment to an international computer games company advising on trade mark, copyright and design right issues, rights clearance and parallel imports.
Dr. Till is a solicitor qualified in England and Wales. She also qualified as a Rechtsanwalt in Germany in 2006 and is admitted to the Munich Court.
A native German speaker, Dr. Till speaks English fluently. Her language skills are invaluable in multi-jurisdictional disputes, both in liaising with German speaking counsel and experts and in assessing the significance of German language documents in English proceedings.
Dr. Till received a first class B.Sc. in Chemistry with Biochemistry from King's College London and was awarded the Layton Science Research Award in 1995. She went on to Oxford University to obtain a D.Phil. in Physical Chemistry in 1998 and MBA (distinction) in 1999. After qualifying as a solicitor, Dr. Till has continued her legal academic training while working full-time and received a MA in Law from City University London in 2004 having written a thesis entitled "A European Framework for Intellectual Property Rights". Dr. Till has also recently been awarded a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from Bristol University in 2005. |
