Since joining Vermillion Group in early 2002, Tyler has been an integral part of the overall success and strategic direction the firm.
Tyler's current role as Managing Director for the Local Business practice puts him squarely in the middle of the fastest growing segment of the human capital industry. His group alignes permanent placement with contract staffing, which allows a truly "full suite" of staffing and recruitment services to their client base.
For his initial two and a half years, Tyler was a member of Vermillion Group's Sales Consultants division placing high performing sales professionals with dynamic and growing software companies. During that time he learned the importance of value-based selling, and started helping others in the firm develop a consultative, process-oriented approach to their business.
As a part of the firm's overall growth strategy, in 2004 Tyler was promoted and tasked with developing, then leading a formal training and development program for the entire office. During that time he established an On-Boarding Program designed to introduce the business to rookie AE's in a systematic and replicable manner that would also bring them up to speed more efficiently and effectively. Along with that program, Tyler was responsible for offering continuing education opportunities for tenured AE's on a regular basis. Through heavy and constant interaction with the MRI Corporate Performance Development staff, his influence and insight was utilize in developing new development programs that have since been rolled out to the entire Management Recruiters franchise office population. He continues to be an influence beyond the Vermillion Group with input in to corporate driven development programs designed for the MRINetwork.
Tyler's background includes success as a player and coach for the NCJAA Division 1 men's basketball All-Time Wins Leader, Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa. During his tenure on Southeastern's staff, Tyler was instrumental in recruiting a team that went on to win the NJCAA Division 1 National Championship in 2000. Players that he helped bring to SCC went on to earn full ride basketball scholarships with major collegiate programs such as UCONN, University of Iowa, Florida State, DePaul and Grambling to name a few. He is a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College with a BS in Law Enforcement and Investigation. |
