From 2000-2003, Mr. Miller served as the Director of Sales, Western US for Switch and Data, a nationwide, carrier-neutral colocation and network exchange company. While at Switch and Data, he launched the Western US Sales Team and grew annualized revenue to more than $30,000,000 in just over 3 years. Under his leadership his team secured contracts with industry leading companies such as: Microsoft, Yahoo, Level 3, Time Warner Telecom, NTT America, Verio, Qwest, SBC Internet, On Fiber Communications, Savvis Communications and Infonet among others.
Previously, Mr. Miller served as a Premier Account Manager for Nextlink Interactive. During his tenure Mr. Miller lead the company sales efforts in closing significant deals with Nike, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Warner Brothers among others. Under his leadership, Nextlink Interactive launched the industry’s first multiple-caller, trivia quiz qualification application with Sony Pictures Entertainment (Game Show Network Inquizition). This application is a technical forerunner to the call-in qualification trivia applications utilized to screen callers for current shows such as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
Before to joining Nextlink Interactive, Mr. Miller managed carrier and strategic enterprise accounts for Metropolitan Fiber Systems (MFS). During his tenure at the company he developed broadband network architecture and access solutions for leading companies such as Infonet, Ticketmaster, Star Telecom, Nestle USA, Princess Cruises, and Cantor & Fitzgerald.
Prior to his role with MFS, Mr. Miller was a cofounder of Technology Control Services, Inc. (TCS), a developer and provider of software solutions for voice and data telecommunications networks, acquired by Convergent Networks in August 2000. While at TCS he was responsible for developing key relationships in Japan and Central America.
