Tricia McGarry has been engaged in the management and ownership of technology and growth businesses over the past 20 years. Her work includes the direction of accelerated growth in sales and marketing divisions in direct response publishing and technology-based operations. In addition, Tricia managed channel marketing and distribution with strategic national accounts for technology products. Tricia negotiated and managed relationships with strategic partners that include Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, Symantec, Compaq, Novell, and HP as well as several hundred other software and hardware related computer-industry firms. As a successful business owner, Tricia has directed two separate companies over the past 10 years with growth rates exceeding 1000%. In this capacity she initiated, developed and managed relationships with clients including Disney, Melaleuca, NuSkin, Avon, Icon Health and Fitness, Novel, Citibank, Medifast, Guthy-Renky and Franklin Covey. Tricia currently owns Cobalt Communications Group, manages business development efforts for Sorenson Media, serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of South Salt Lake and is an Advisory Board Member for the Women in Technology Organization. Tricia also co-managed development of the Utah Student Venture Fund, initiated and developed marketing for venture fund Mercato Partners, and was an original visionary and developer of VAST, a women's focused venture firm. Due to a heavy emphasis in college courses in high school Tricia started her college education as a junior at the University of Connecticut with an emphasis in Marketing. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her children as well as traveling, biking, skiing, running, and hiking. |
