Tracy Schneiter joined IRN in 2004 as a member of the Strategic Advisory Services group. She specializes in strategic planning facilitation and related research for manufacturing firms. In her role as Senior Analyst, Tracy has worked with clients in both automotive and non-automotive industries to help them articulate strategic vision for their companies and develop plans and tools to assist with implementation. In one example, she worked with an injection molding company over the course of a year to help them revitalize their sales process and expand their customer base. Tracy has also worked with various clients in the private equity sector, providing strategic support and advice to supplement their transaction-related due diligence efforts.
Tracy came to IRN from Benteler Automotive, a global Tier One supplier specializing in chassis, exhaust, safety and structural components and module systems. She held a number of positions in her fourteen-year tenure and was Manager of Forecasting and Analysis at the time of her departure. In that role, Tracy was responsible for all forecast planning and market intelligence for Benteler AG’s North American operations. Throughout the course of her work at Benteler, Tracy had the opportunity to forge relationships at and work closely with personnel at various levels of several New Domestic and foreign-based automakers including, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen.
Tracy’s hands-on experience in working with diverse groups to reach common goals and in setting up systems to gather, analyze, and disseminate data translates well to her work at IRN. These skill sets were critical in her duties at Benteler establishing the annual five-year budget and supporting strategic planning initiatives for all operational units. Tracy also acted as co-manager for the implementation of Benteler’s SAP business operating system (focusing on the sales, distribution and EDI modules) and served as Global Financial Analyst for the Exhaust Systems product group. This involved financial reporting, group budget formulation, and analysis of project costs and capital expenditures.
In addition to her automotive supplier’s perspective, Tracy brings five years’ experience in the furniture industry including sales and operational management. She began her working career at Baker Furniture and has had opportunities over the years to enjoy both small business and large company environments.
Tracy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Michigan State University in 1987 and is a member of the Society of Automotive Analysts. |
