Tor Farquhar was appointed to Corus as Group Human Resources Director and member of the Executive Committee from 1 October 2007.
Previously, he was Group HR Director for Alfred McAlpine plc, the building and construction services group, where he worked from 2002. Prior to this, Tor worked in number of HR roles in the energy sector. He was Group HR Director at Npower, a leading supplier of electricity and gas in the UK and he held senior HR positions in its predecessor companies, National Power and International Power. He spent the early part of his career with BP plc, working in various HR roles in its Group Asia Pacific business based in Indonesia and Vietnam, as well as in the BP Exploration and BP Oil businesses.
Tor is a graduate of the University of Glasgow. He is 42, married and has 2 children. |
