Tony Palcheck is an Investment Manager at Motorola Ventures, based in Schaumburg, IL. In this role he is responsible for identifying and executing strategic, minority-equity investments, at early and later stages, in start-up firms to accelerate access for all of Motorola's existing and future businesses to new technologies, new markets and new talent. Tony actively engages in intelligence collection and strategy generation for various Motorola business sectors, as well as serving as a key interface to Motorola Labs.
Prior to joining the Motorola Ventures, Tony was a Director in the Corporate Business Intelligence group at Motorola. In this role, Tony was responsible for identifying emerging technologies, evaluating market opportunities, researching potential investments, divestitures, acquisitions, alliances, and assessing competition. He joined the Intelligence group from Motorola's Cellular Infrastructure Group where he lead the 3rd Generation Cellular market requirements research, forecasting, and segmentation efforts. Prior to that Tony worked in various Product and Market Development roles at Motorola and Ameritech.
Tony holds an undergraduate degree in Management and Marketing, and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago where he graduated with honors. He has spoken on behalf of Motorola in several Business Intelligence Forums including the Industrial Research Institute, The Management Roundtable, Northwestern University and serves as an advisor in DePaul University's ASK program which provides guidance to masters candidates. |
