Tony joined Zappos.com in 2000, and under his leadership, Zappos has grown gross merchandise sales from $1.6M in 2000 to $370M in 2005. Tony focuses on continuing to grow the business at a rapid pace while maintaining the culture and feel of a small company. Prior to joining Zappos, Tony co-founded Venture Frogs with Alfred Lin. Venture Frogs is an incubator and investment firm that invested in Internet startups, including Ask Jeeves (acquired by IAC/InterActiveCorp IACI), MongoMusic (acquired by Microsoft, MSFT), MyAble (acquired by Openwave Systems, OPWV), Tellme Networks, and of course, Zappos.com. Prior to Venture Frogs, Tony co-founded and grew LinkExchange from a side business from his apartment to a cooperative advertising network that reached over half of Internet enabled households, according to Media Metrix. LinkExchange was successfully sold to Microsoft for $265M in 1998. Tony also served on a small tour of duty at Oracle as a software engineer before delving into his entrepreneurial destiny.
