Tony Hemmelgarn is senior vice president, Ford and Industry Markets for UGS PLM Software (UGS), a division of Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D). UGS is a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services with 4.4 million licensed seats and 47,000 customers worldwide. In his current role, Hemmelgarn is responsible for directing deployment, software development, business development, customer support, training and supply chain integration for UGS at Ford Motor Company.
Formerly he was director of Product Information Management and then vice president of the Ford Program Office for Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC), a leading provider of mechanical design and product development software and services.
Hemmelgarn was appointed to his present position in 2001, when EDS acquired SDRC and merged it with Unigraphics Solutions, Inc. to form the PLM Solutions line of business later known as UGS PLM Solutions
Previously, he spent eight years with Intergraph Corporation, an international software firm. At Intergraph, Hemmelgarn assumed increasing levels of responsibility, progressing from technical management to regional technical director and sirector of Sales and Marketing. He moved to Intergraph from Cad Cam Incorporated where he headed up the services division.
Hemmelgarn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton.
