Tony Egues begins his 19th season with the Dolphins and the first in his current post. In his role, Egues will oversee administrative functions for Head Coach Cam Cameron, including his schedule and being the liason with Football Operations.
Prior to being named to this position during the 2007 offseason, Egues was the Dolphins’ equipment manager for the previous 12 years. In fact, he is in his third year as a member of the NFL’s Foot and Ankle Committee.
Egues began his career with the Dolphins on a part-time basis as an equipment assistant, then joined the club full-time in 1989 as an administrative assistant to the coaching staff. He was named as assistant equipment manager in 1994 and then was promoted to head equipment manager prior to the start of the 1995 season.
In 2000, Egues was named the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (A.E.M.A.) District III Equipment Manager of the Year.
In 1999, Egues played Sal the Trainer in Oliver Stone’s movie, Any Given Sunday, starring Al Pacino and Cameron Diaz. He also served as the film’s technical advisor.
Egues, and his wife, Lissette, reside in Pembroke Pines, with their two daughters, Alexandria and Victoria. |
