Tonjua Williams consults for Noel-Levitz from her position as provost at the Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College (FL). Dr. Williams implements student and academic programs and supporting services, including the planning, development, and coordination of projects concerning organization, operations, and student services/academic functions. She also assists in budget preparation and management. In addition to her post as associate provost, Dr. Williams is an adjunct instructor for courses on career and life planning as well as college success/study skills.
Since 1986, Dr. Williams has served a number of positions at St. Petersburg College. As director of the Office of Special Programs, she coordinated services and activities for eight student support programs, including budget management and evaluations. Prior to this directorship, she served as a coordinator for two programs at St. Petersburg aimed at disadvantaged students. During her tenure as coordinator, one of these programs won an Exemplary Guidance & Counseling Program Award from the National Center for Research in Vocational Education in 1995. Dr. Williams has also been an academic advisor and adjunct counselor at the college.
She is currently a member of the Florida Association of Community Colleges and has been a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Dr. Williams received her Ph.D. from Barry University. |
