Toney Anaya served as Governor (1983-86) and Attorney General (1974-78) of the State of New Mexico. He is nationally and internationally recognized for his initiatives to promote affirmative action at all levels of government, for his efforts to use technology to help transform the economy of the state into one strong in attracting high technology companies, and for his ability to steer the state through very troubled financial times. He practices law in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is also active in business development. He is a founding member and continues to serve as a Managing Board Member of Valor Telecommunications, a Hispanic-owned telephone company that currently ranks among the top 15 phone companies in the country. Governor Anaya has developed an enviable network of contacts in the public and private sector throughout the country. He continues to build upon an impressive knowledge of information technology and brings an invaluable service on the application of IT services to the public sector. |
