Tommy is Cellnet's Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he is responsible for supporting Cellnet's fixed-wireless AMR network, leading the company's software development initiatives and overseeing the company's research and innovation team. Since assuming his current position in 2004, Tommy has led the redesign of Cellnet's fixed network system. Through the innovative application of telecommunication technologies, Cellnet made great strides toward improving the technology performance versus the cost ratio of AMR. Tommy and Cellnet's achievements resulted in the 2006 Frost and Sullivan Award for Technology Innovation. Separately, Tommy has led the efforts toward optimizing the company's field operations and streamlining and reducing the lead times for the company's global supply chain. Prior to his tenure at Cellnet, Tommy spent 16 years at Schlumberger where he held numerous positions in the company's Marketing, Field Operations and Program Development divisions. Of particular importance, Tommy was an instrumental member of the team that acquired the exclusive license of the UtiliNet technology. He brought this with him to Cellnet and it now serves as the foundation for Cellnet's current AMR fixed-wireless technology. In addition to his career at Schlumberger, Tommy managed field operations at Metricom and held engineering positions at Jackson Electric Membership Cooperation and Arkansas Power and Light. Tommy received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia. |
